Analog circuit fault diagnosis is still a challenging task. AI approaches were the basis of many systems that tried to tackle this problem with more or less success. The first part of this extended summary is a brief state of the art review of such systems: we discuss two fundamental approaches, model-based reasoning and qualitative reasoning. In the second part, we present our fuzzy logic based approach, with some application examples.
